Weather
December to February is Lapland’s peak travel season m with the average temperatures ranging from -16°C to 3°C depending on location. The highest snow season is October-May, making this the ideal time to visit for those wanting to ski and snowmobile etc. Daylight is limited between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm, however the reflection of light off snow can make the days appear brighter.
In terms of summer (Mid-May to July), temperatures range from 10-15°C with moderate rainfall. The abundance of water makes this time of year great for boating and fishing. This is a time of year where sunlight is more abundant as it does not completely dip below the horizon. This is known as the “Midnight Sun.”
